About Heather

Hi there! Here’s a little info so you can get to know me a little more:

I received my BA in Psychology from UCSD and my MA in Couple and Family Therapy from Alliant International University’s  California School of Professional Psychology. I completed my year-long traineeship at Second Chance, where I worked with addiction and recovery, relationship issues, anger and impulse control, homelessness, depression, anxiety, and re-entry into society after prison.

I am now a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences in private practice and a Lifestyle Educator with the Positive Choice Integrative Wellness Center at Kaiser Permanente working with patients who struggle with binge eating and food addiction. I am currently a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) and listed as an EFT therapist on the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT) directory. In the therapy room, I utilize a compassionate, empathetic, and authentic approach with clients to overcome issues brought to therapy.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy exploring fun places in San Diego with my husband, Doggieshiking with friends, and painting. I am also a huge animal lover! I currently have three furry kiddos of my own.
