About Heather

Hi there! Here’s a little info so you can get to know me a little more:

I received my BA in Psychology from UCSD and my MA in Couple and Family Therapy from Alliant International University’s  California School of Professional Psychology. I completed my year-long traineeship at Second Chance, where I worked with addiction and recovery, relationship issues, anger and impulse control, homelessness, depression, anxiety, and re-entry into society after prison.

I am now a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences with a private practice in Point Loma, San Diego. I also work as a Lifestyle Educator with the Positive Choice Integrative Wellness Center at Kaiser Permanente, where I work with patients who struggle with binge eating and food addiction. I am currently a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). In the therapy room, I utilize a compassionate, empathetic, and authentic approach with clients to help them overcome challenges and begin to thrive.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy exploring fun places in San Diego with my family, hiking with friends, and painting. I am also a huge animal lover!
