Me and Dr. Sue Johnson, 2015

I utilize the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approach, which is theoretically based and empirically supported to alleviate couple distress.  EFT, created and developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, works by looking at how partners construct their emotional experience of relatedness and how they engage each other in order to expand emotional responses, create new kinds of interactions, and foster secure bonding between one another.  The overall process of change is from isolation to connectedness. Studies on EFT showed a 70-75% recovery rate in 10-12 sessions and an improvement rate of 86-90% across a variety of populations and settings, faring considerably better than other problem-solving types of couples therapy.  I completed the EFT Externship in 2014 and Core Skills training modules in 2017.

My fee for for a 50-minute couples therapy session is $150.
